It's been a busy old few weeks here at Happy Daisy with our first couple of sales, home delivery orders coming in and speciality cake and outside catering enquiries - not to mention the lovely reviews that are starting to make their way onto our facebook page. You guys have blown our minds with your enthusiasm for what we're trying to offer - and it warms the cockles (vegan - of course!) so thank you from the bottom of our ever expanding hearts :)

I just felt I had to write a really quick blog to say what an amazingly enjoyable day the Team Daisy crew had.

Today was our first event and our first opportunity to sell some of the food that we've been perfecting over the months (and years)! We were so excited to get it out there and share what we have to offer.

We met so many people at the Kingsway Big Lunch today who, despite the constant threat of rain, came out to support an amazing community get-together!

It was lovely to speak to so many of you and I really hope that those who bought our food, enjoyed it!

Thanks for supporting us and we'll keep you posted on where our next stall will be. In the meantime, please feel free to browse our online shop where you can now order our entire range of sweet treats.

We’re getting closer and closer to going live with our online shop. Before we do though, we want to make sure that our recipes are perfected so that, when you order, you receive a top quality product with maximum tastiness!

This evening, I’ve been perfecting some of my energy ball recipes. For those of you who haven’t tried an energy ball before, they are compact balls (approx. 1” in diameter), filled with wholesome goodness aimed at providing you with a boost of energy and subduing any cravings that might otherwise lead you to binge on an unhealthy snack.

Tonight, I’ve been making and testing my Choc Peanut Balls (made with dates, wholefood peanut butter, chia and cacao) and my Spirulina Balls (made with dates, spirulina, coconut oil and chia).

They taste amazing and, considering their relatively small size, they are really satisfying!

I might need to go for a quick 5k run now to burn off some of this energy!

I've spent a lot of time lately trying to learn how to build a website - and whilst it's very much a work in progress I'm pretty pleased how far we've come!

Paul finally took pity on me the other day and progressed us greatly and my wonderful friend has today been very patiently trying to help me understand how to reach all you lovely people that are hopefully looking for some vegan treats - I'm ever hopeful we'll be 'live' soon :)
